Anastasia Gornbeko won the bronze medal at the World Cup

Anastasia Gorbenko’s successful season continued tonight (between Friday and Saturday) when the Israeli won the bronze medal in the 100m breast in a time of 1:05.21 minutes.

Gorbenko excelled at the finish to win third place and stand on the podium, just four hundredths of a second ahead of Slovakia’s Andrea Podmanikova. The winner was Lithuania’s Ruta Miletotia with 1:02.77 minutes, while American Lily King stopped the clock at 1:03.74 minutes.

Chris Fitchugin finished 15th in the 50m breaststroke with 27.44 seconds. Denis Loktev finished in 24th place in the 100 m freestyle with 48.61 seconds, and Daniel Namir finished in 43rd place in the same event with 49.89 seconds.
