The housewife died of burns in the Angel neighborhood. The deceased has been identified as Sangeetha, 42, wife of Harikumar, a native of Ayilara. Former soldier Harikumar, 45, was arrested on suspicion of inciting suicide.
The music was found burnt outside the house last night. Neighbors rushed him to a private hospital in Anchal and later to the Govt. Medical College Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, but he died on Wednesday morning. According to police, Sangeetha committed suicide due to Harikumar’s constant harassment.
Sangeetha and Harikumar, originally from Ooty, were married 22 years ago. Sangeetha had earlier lodged a complaint with the Erur police alleging that Harikumar was not mentally and physically abused.
