Probably only the lazy have not written about the fact that many of our fellow citizens do not swear, but simply speak it. It’s sad that this is increasingly becoming a habit among the younger generation. This is what I want to say a few words about.

Lately, I often take the bus just when schoolchildren return from school. As a rule, high school students tend to discuss their academic issues, computer programs, iPhones, and phones quite emotionally… Like it or not, in a confined space you become an involuntary “listener” of their conversation. And what?
Decent looking guys, fashionably dressed, with signs of intelligence on their faces, do not hesitate to use obscene words and expressions, it seems that they even flaunt it. In the presence of adult passengers (mostly older women ride on buses) and younger schoolchildren. Horribly disgusting!

And you know, I personally do not remain silent, I make a remark, and I intimidate those who are especially arrogant with the police or the bus driver: they say, they will now stop the car and drop them off or call the police. So far it helps. One day the driver did just that: at a bus stop he loudly announced that he would not move until a group of foul-mouthed people got off the bus. Well done! But in my memory this was an isolated incident.

I’m racking my brain: at home with their parents and at school with friends and teachers, these ill-mannered young men (sometimes, alas, girls too), who allow themselves to swear in public space, become completely different or what? Smart and well-mannered, as befits high school students? Don’t think. Maybe, if at home they are at least afraid that they might actually get hit in the neck by their mother or father, then at school, I’m almost sure, they loosen their tongue, believing that nothing threatens them except educational conversations. Well, they won’t be kicked out of the gymnasium for “some kind of” swearing (especially since today it pours out literally from everywhere: from theater stages, television and movie screens).

Why not?! As far as I know, the gymnasium is free to create its own Charter, which will regulate everything in this educational institution. And, for example, add a clause to the Charter about swearing: three times caught swearing, get out of school. Tough, simple and clear. After all, the kids are already adults.
