Six people were killed on the spot when a Konark Express train collided in Andhra Pradesh’s Srikakulam district.
The high speed train heading towards Guwahati apparently stopped at Padua village yesterday due to a technical glitch. Then a few people got off the train and stood on the side rail. Six people were killed when the Konark Express train collided head-on with them.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed regret over the incident. He directed the authorities to carry out rescue operations to ensure that all the victims are given proper treatment.
