Hyderabad: At least 12 people were killed when a bus overturned in heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh. 18 passengers missing The tragedy took place at Mandapally in Kadapa district.

Hundreds of pilgrims from different states were trapped. A group of 15 people from Kozhikode, who were returning home by bus after visiting Tirupati, got stuck in Chittoor. They were shifted to government centers by rescue teams. Major shopping malls including Chandragiri Town, Madurai Nagar and Nayanagiri were flooded. Flights to Tirupati were diverted to Hyderabad and Bangalore. Extensive damage was caused by falling trees and landslides. Schools have been given two days off. The central team spoke to Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy on the phone and assessed the situation.
