## São Paulo Striker André Silva Celebrates Goal and Praises Team
Striker André Silva, who scored the goal that secured São Paulo’s 1-0 victory over Atlético-GO, spoke to the press after the match at MorumBIS. He praised his teammates, highlighting their dedication in training.
“The game is different from training, but I want to acknowledge the 11 players who were on the field today. We’ve been training hard to be ready for these moments. This is the strength of our group, and I’m very happy with everyone’s commitment today.”
André also acknowledged that despite some changes in the team, the quality on the field remained high. He also revealed that his wife is pregnant.
“We have 11 players who haven’t played together, but we showed today that our team is strong. It was a special evening, especially on Father’s Day, when my wife and I were able to announce through my goal that we are expecting another child.”
The striker also explained the play that led to his goal. “Rato has a great left foot. It’s a move we’ve trained a lot on, and it’s already helped us countless times.”
São Paulo’s next match in the Brazilian Championship is on Sunday (18) against Palmeiras, at Allianz Parque. Before that, they face Nacional-URU in the first leg of the CONMEBOL Libertadores on Thursday (15) in Montevideo, Uruguay.
