A first representation of the writer’s work through the evocative potential of the original and partly unpublished documents preserved among his papers. this is the intention of the documentary exhibition The course of things. Andrea Camilleri and his archive, set up at the Fondo Camilleri in Rome, until Sunday 18 December included (from 10 to 18).

The archive covers a long and dense period of great transformations in many areas and above all shows the remote roots, the lesser-known passages and connections of his artistic and professional career; a path marked by the watershed of the great notoriety and popularity that defined his public profile as a writer since the late 1990s. The archive integrates this representation and through manuscripts, texts, articles and iconographic documentation (photographs and theatrical posters) gives the opportunity to enter the human and intellectual history of Andrea Camilleri in literary, theatrical, television and radio contexts, in the constant exercise of writing.

The exhibition is divided into four sections: `I went on a journey. From Porto Empedocle to Rome; `An unbroken thread. Theater; `The interview possible. Radio and television; `I learned to write by reading.
