Nuremberg – And now she’s designing too!
The Nuremberg body painter Andrea Stern (54) does fashion: she paints bags, shoes, textiles. And she designs her own clothes. Everything, as usual from the body painter, in spectacular colors.
You to BILD: “Three years of crisis have changed my work. As an artist, I was forbidden to practice my body painting art for 1.5 years. That’s why I reoriented myself artistically.”
She began to paint shoes, textiles and bags, designed her own clothing collection.

Stern: “This ranges from the production of our own fabric designs and the sewing of clothing to the upcycling of vintage and second-hand goods. I design complete outfits from shoes to clothes to bags. Each piece is unique and hand designed and painted”
Her collection consists of a wide variety of outfits, from leather clothing and jeans to elegant evening dresses.
The shoes would be hand-painted, covered with rhinestones or finished with gold leaf.

Stern painted a pair of shoes for model Diana Herold (49), the boots are now available in blue, yellow and purple. She also designed pieces for the baby of “Boss-Hoss-Star” Alec Völkel.
The artist is currently working on her collection, which she intends to present for the first time on July 1st at Germany’s largest fashion and experience show “Music and Fashion” in Essen’s Gruga Hall.

In Nuremberg, Stern became known for his spectacular body painting actions in the Tiergarten or for the Felsengange. The artist has also worked in the tram depot or at the Zeppelin Grandstand.
