Andreas Schjelderup continues to impress in Danish North Zealand. In Friday’s away game against AGF Aarhus, the 19-year-old knocked a free kick into the goal after 28 minutes and increased the team’s lead to 2–0.
The performance took the breath away from Viaplay’s Danish commentators.
– He is an absolutely unique talent. A fantastic goal, say the Danish experts.
– I am almost speechless. It is a free-kick technique that is truly refined. Almost a reference point for how a free kick should be taken, say the Viaplay commentators after the Norwegian bent the ball over the wall, via the crossbar and into the net.
Schjelderup has been loaned back to Nordsjælland from Benfica, but recently stated that the plan is to return to Portugal this summer.
Just over a week ago, Schjelderup scored a hat trick in 13 minutes against the same club in the opposite match at home. Nordsjælland eventually won the match 3-1 and is fully involved in the battle for the league gold in Denmark.
