The CPS has decided to prosecute Tristan Tate, 38, with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation. The offending is alleged to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017.
U.S. prosecutors described allegations from the United Kingdom against the brothers involving three victims. One woman accused Tristan Tate of rape and assault during a long-term relationship with him beginning in 2012, including when she was unconscious, reporting him to U.K. authorities multiple times. Two other women, one who met Andrew Tate through a webcam business and another through a dating app, also accused him of rape and assault in 2014 and 2015.
Legal Defense Claims Arrests Are Politically Motivated
The brothers’ defense attorney, Joseph McBride, strongly objected to the extradition effort during and after Monday’s court appearance, insisting his clients have done nothing wrong and that the brothers were surprised when they were arrested.
McBride suggested the Tates’ case had a lot to do with
