The Novgorod region will adequately celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of composer Sergei Rachmaninov, Governor Andrei Nikitin said during a direct line.
The head of the region did not begin to “open the veil of secrecy”, only mentioned that the authorities were “very, very seriously” preparing.
According to him, federal events dedicated to Rachmaninov will be organized in the Novgorod region in 2023.
In the meantime, our region is celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky. So, recently the characters of his novels decorated the carriage of the Novgorod “Swallow”.
