The President of PASOK-Movement for Change, Nikos Androulakis, had a meeting with the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, and the Deputy Governors on Wednesday morning in Larissa.
The restoration of the area affected by Daniel in terms of infrastructure, production and economic activity was at the heart of the discussion.

The President of PASOK-Movement of Change also spoke on the aspect of increased energy costs.
“As a priority, producers, processors and cooperatives must have conditions for connecting to renewable energy fields, so that Thessalian producers have stable energy costs in the next fifteen years and are therefore competitive. Today, we see daily that the tariffs are at unimaginable heights. There is no other way if we want a resistant Thessalian, with perspective and hope,” he said.
The Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, presented the progress of the reform projects in the affected areas and indicated that “our consultations and contacts with Nikos Androulakis are frequent and I believe they will continue in this way so that there will be support. for the struggle, which the Region brings and the challenges it faces”.
Mr. Androulakis then visited the fire department’s regional operations center.
“Thank you for the fight you put in and we will be by your side. The modernization of air resources is important – and I personally contributed during my term as an MEP and as rapporteur for the European Civil Protection Mechanism RescEU – but we must invest in prevention. It shows that last year we had the smallest outbreaks but the biggest disasters,” Mr. Androulakis said, bringing back his proposal that seasonal firefighters help in the winter months in the area of prevention.
