Anganwadi Teacher and Relative Arrested for Murder in Krishnagiri District

The teacher, identified as Jyoti (39), resided in Parikai Gautasapuram village near Hosur and was working at an Anganwadi center in the same area. She had been living alone since her husband’s demise ten years ago. Recently, Jyoti became involved in an inappropriate relationship with a driver named Venkatesh, which caused a stir among the neighbors.
Upset by the rumors and gossip surrounding their grandmother, Jyoti’s younger son Harish confronted Venkatesh, warning him to stay away from his grandmother. Harish also scolded Jyoti, admonishing her for her behavior. Following this incident, Jyoti warned Venkatesh not to visit her home again.
However, on Monday, Venkatesh disregarded the warning and returned to Jyoti’s house. Harish, who was present at the time, confronted Venkatesh once again, questioning his presence despite the warning. In a fit of rage, Jyoti and Harish attacked Venkatesh with stones and sticks. The assault left Venkatesh critically injured, and despite being rushed to the Government Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
