He Former Valencia and Granada footballer Ángel Castellanoswho since 2017 was honorary president of the rojiblanco club, died this Tuesday in Granada at the age of 71 after a long illness.
The Granada club confirmed this morning the death of Castellanos, whom it considers “one of the most important footballers in red and white history.”

Beginnings in Sabadell
Born in Miguelturra (Ciudad Real) in 1952, Castellanos joined Granada CF in the 1972/73 season after having stood out for his qualities in the Sabadellin the First Division.
His great performance during this first period, which lasted four years, led him to debut with the Spanish team in 1974, being the last red and white player to do so until the recent call of Bryan Zaragoza.
