On the occasion of the celebration of the feast of the Holy Archangels, Father Juan Manuel Sierra, professor of Liturgy at the San Dámaso Ecclesiastical University of Madrid, answers some key questions about these creatures of God.

Asked about their existence, Father Sierra answers that “angels belong to the faith of the Church” supported by the biblical story: “It is in the Holy Scripture, in the Old Testament and also in the New, where the existence of angels in a general sense.”

Furthermore, Saint Paul distinguishes “between different categories of angels: principalities, powers, dominions, etc.”
