The Angers SCO, which is fighting to stay in Ligue 1, will soon hold 20% of the capital of Tours FC.
In an interview granted to the New Republic, Jean-Marc Ettori, the president of Tours FC which evolves in Regional 1, indicated that the Angers club was going to obtain 20% of the capital of the Tours club.
The Tours commercial court ruled on Tuesday May 3 on the club’s situation. The financial jurisdiction expressed itself favorably for the project of Jean-Marc Ettori and rejected the takeover project carried by Omar Fonseca.
Long resident of Ligue 2, the Tours Football Club, which has seen players such as Olivier Giroud, Jonathan Gradit, Laurent Koscielny and Andy Delort, will therefore be partly owned by the SCO of Angers as confirmed by Saïd Chabane on Angevin president in Ouest-France: “It is not Saïd Chabane who takes 20% of Tours FC, it is Angers Sco. The objective is to extend our web to the regional part in terms of training. There will be bridges between the two clubs at this level. But it’s a global club strategy for Angers Sco, it’s not Saïd Chabane».
After several sporting and financial demotions, the resident of the Vallée du Cher stadium will return to the national level and will evolve into National 3 next season.
