The Angolan and Cape Verdean authorities should renew the bilateral transport cooperation agreement regarding direct air connectivity between the two countries, for a close and sustainable partnership.

The information was released this Friday by the ambassador of Cape Verde to Angola, Júlio de Morais, at the end of a meeting with the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, stressing that the renewal of this agreement will be complemented with that of energy and maritime transport. .

According to the diplomat, “without direct connectivity between countries there can be no close and sustainable partnerships”.

He also informed that the negotiation of a statute for the future Chamber of Commerce Angola – Cape Verde is underway.

The diplomat highlighted the ongoing economic agenda between the two countries, with Angolan investments in Cape Verde in the areas of telecommunications, banking and fuel logistics.

He made it known that the two States are also deepening the partnership in the area of ​​agriculture, taking into account some facilities that the Angolan Government has granted Cape Verde in this field.

He also referred to investment in the tourism sector by Angolan promoters in Cape Verde, as well as in the area of ​​culture.
