The FNSEA, through its president Arnaud Rousseau, has warned. The coming week presents itself as one “of all dangers, either because the government does not hear us, or because the anger will be such that everyone will then take their responsibilities”.

After a lull and the lifting of numerous blockages this weekend on French roads, farmers will resume their actions with a vengeance from Monday morning. Starting with a “siege of the capital”, announced Saturday evening by the FNSEA and Young Farmers (JA) unions of the Paris Basin.

According to our information, the blockade of Paris, planned from 2 p.m., will be organized around seven blockade points. They will be located on the A1, A4, A5, A6, A12, A13 and A15. “We are still in the process of establishing the precise points,” Clément Torpier, president of the JA d’Île-de-France, told us in Paris. The dams will all be built within a radius of 30 to 40 kilometers around the capital. »

“Rotations” to block for the longest time

Stéphane Sanchez, director of the FNSEA Grand Bassin Parisien, assures Le Parisien that the objective of his union is clear: to hold this siege in the capital until Thursday. “Rotations” will be put in place between farmers, to hold the roadblocks and stay “as long as possible”, he tells us.

This siege, as well as a possible blockade of the Rungis market announced by the Lot-et-Garonne Rural Coordination (CR47), were taken very seriously by the executive. Gérald Darmanin requested the establishment of a reinforced security system, and the gendarmerie was already present on Sunday evening near the Rungis market.

In detail, the CR47 announced its desire to go to Paris by taking the highway, aboard tractors, thus causing major traffic jams on the routes concerned. “We leave Agen on Monday at 9 a.m., we take the highway to Cahors, we go up to Paris via Limoges and we pick up all the people who want to join us,” said its co-president José Pérez on Saturday evening. . The A20 motorway, used to reach Paris from Limoges, would then be heavily congested on Monday.

Lyon blocked on Monday, before Marseille, Bordeaux and Toulouse?

This headquarters in the capital gave ideas to other agricultural unions. Farmers from FRSEA Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes decided to blockade the city of Lyon this Monday, January 29. “We have a common strategy with our friends from the Ile-de-France region who are going to block Paris from 2 p.m. tomorrow. We have the objective of blocking Lyon, the second city in France,” assures its president Michel Joux to our colleagues at France 3.

According to him, the movement could spread around all the largest cities in France. “We also have, with other colleagues from other regions, the objective of blocking in the coming days all the other major cities: Marseille, Toulouse and even Bordeaux,” he lists. The days to come promise to be eventful.
