jpnn.comJAKARTA – Director of Research and Communication of the KedaiKOPI Survey Institute, Ibnu Dwi Cahyo, assessed that one of the obstacles for Anies Baswedan to contest in the 2024 regional elections is that the former Indonesian Minister of Education and Culture is not a party cadre.
“So, one of the factors that makes it difficult for Anies to get a ticket to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election,” he said to the media crew, Monday (19/8).
He said that every party in the 2024 Pilkada certainly wants to advance internal cadres as candidates, either as candidates for regional head or deputy regional head.
For example, said Ibnu, PKS as the winning party in the 2024 Jakarta legislative election is adamant about asking internal cadres to be able to compete as deputy gubernatorial candidates.
He considered it very reasonable and rational if PKS finally canceled its support for Anies and moved closer to supporting RK to become part of KIM Plus.
However, said Ibnu, PKS has the right to place their cadres as deputy gubernatorial candidates to accompany RK in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.
“It would be a shame if it wasn’t taken, because there were no other offers, logically it would have been taken because (PKS, ed.) with Anies it wouldn’t necessarily advance, there are no parties that want a coalition,” he said.
Starting from there, Ibnu assessed RK’s choice to join a party by joining Golkar and now occupying the position of deputy general chairman.
