jpnn.comJAKARTA – Head of the Labor Party Pilkada Team Said Salahuddin said Anies Baswedan still has a chance to advance in the Jakarta Pilkada. This is considering that Thursday (29/8) tomorrow is the last day for registration of regional head candidate pairs.
For this reason, the Labor Party is opening up the opportunity to form a new coalition to nominate Anies as a prospective gubernatorial candidate in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“There is still tomorrow (today, ed), the last day of registration until 23.59 WIB,” said Said as reported by Antara, Wednesday.
According to him, political parties that have registered prospective regional head candidate pairs are still allowed to register again as long as it is within the registration period.
If double support emerges, he continued, the KPU will carry out a clarification process with the relevant political parties.
Therefore, Said asked to wait until tomorrow to find out the opportunity to support Anies in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.
“If there is an opportunity to form a new coalition to support Mr. Anies Baswedan, tens of thousands of members of the Labor Party together with the people of Jakarta are ready to come to the KPU to accompany Mr. Anies’ registration,” he said.
For information, the minimum threshold requirement for nomination by political parties or coalitions of political parties in Jakarta to nominate candidates for governor and deputy governor is to have 454,885 valid votes (7.5 percent).
Anies Baswedan still has a chance to advance in the Jakarta gubernatorial election considering that today is the last day for registration of regional head candidate pairs.
