Anies Vice Presidential Candidate Will Give Shock Effect When Announced

JAKARTA – The Nasdem Party believes in a companion candidate for vice president (cawapres). Anies Baswedan will give a surprise effect when announced later. The public will think that the figure announced by Anies is the ideal combination to appear in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

“It will appear, it will be given a surprise that will make everyone, wow, this is indeed the ideal partner to win the presidential candidate and build Indonesia in the future,” said the Deputy Secretary General of the Election Winning Division of the Nasdem Party DPP, Jakfar Sidik in a written statement, Thursday (4/5/2023) .

He emphasized that full authority in determining the vice presidential candidate rests with Anies Baswedan as the 2024 presidential candidate. This spirit has been contained in the charter of agreement of the three political parties, the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP). Coalition political parties can only provide input and considerations regarding the candidate for vice president that Anies will choose later.

“This means that we have to choose the first, he must be close to the people. The second, has a vision or imaginations about what Indonesia will be built like,” he said.

Previously, there were five names that had the opportunity to become vice presidential candidates (cawapres) that could potentially be carried by the Coalition for Change. These five names have the opportunity to partner with Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election.

“Now I just quantify, now there are 5 candidates who have narrowed down,” said the chairman of the DPP Nasdem Party Sugeng Suparwoto during the webinar Measuring Opportunities for Presidential Candidates and Coalition Format for 2024 Political Parties which was broadcast on Youtube, Wednesday (3/5/2023).

“Who it is, once again ethically it cannot be mentioned here. Part of our strategy, we are also waiting for other candidates, so that later we can have strategic considerations if we appoint one or another candidate for our vice president,” said happy.
