New Delhi ∙ Senior Congress leader AK Antony’s son Anil Antony has joined the BJP after rumours. Union Minister Piyush Goyal conferred membership on Anil at the BJP’s National Headquarters on Foundation Day.
Anil, who was the digital media cell coordinator of the Congress, had resigned from the post 3 months ago. The Congress left the Congress after the BBC documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi was said to be anti-national. Yesterday, he resigned from the primary membership of the party and joined the BJP.
Anil Antony also met with BJP National President JP Nadda. Union Minister of State V. Muralidharan and party state president K. Surendran also attended the ceremony where Anil was accepted as a member.
