Ankita Bhandari cremated, Uttarakhand CM Dhami assures murder trial in fast-track court

A young woman working as a receptionist at a luxury hotel near Rishikesh, owned by the son of senior BJP leader Vinod Arya in Uttarakhand, was found dead in a canal behind the hotel on Saturday morning.

Earlier, since the 18th, a 19-year-old girl named Ankita Bhandari, who was working in a luxury hotel, did not return home. The father of the 19-year-old Ankita Bhandari lodged a police complaint against Pulkit Arya, the owner of the luxury hotel.

On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case on the 22nd and actively searched for the missing girl Ankita. On investigation, it was revealed that Ankita was murdered by being pushed into the canal behind the hostel.

Meanwhile, Ankita Bhandari’s last rites were held on Sunday.

Earlier, Ankita’s father and brother said that the last rites would be done only after the post-mortem report.

In this case, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami has promised to investigate the murder case in a fast-track court.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Thami said, “Ankita’s family has agreed to perform the last rites. The government will set up a fast-track court for speedy justice. The final post-mortem report will be released soon.”

Following her request, Ankita Bhandari’s last rites were held on Sunday. A large number of people, including the general public, participated in the funeral.

Vinod Arya, the father of the arrested Pulkit Arya said, “My son is normal, he only cares about his work. Both my son Pulkit and the murdered girl should get justice.”

Earlier, BJP had ordered to remove Vinod Arya from the party.

Meanwhile, protests are going on from Uttarakhand to Delhi to condemn Ankita’s murder.

In Uttarakhand, protesters staged a road blockade on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway for several hours. The protesters demanded that the criminals should be hanged.
