Plagiarism hunter sees four more “finds” in Baerbock’s book
In an email to journalists, the Austrian media scientist Stefan Weber lists four other alleged plagiarisms in Annalena Baerbock’s book. He emphasizes once again to work “out of self-interest and without a payment order”.
Dhe Austrian media scientist Stefan Weber has made further evidence of parallels between the book by Green Chancellor candidate Annalena Baerbock and other publications public. In an email sent to journalists on Wednesday, Weber named four other passages in the text that he called “finds”. So far, he has 12 “fragments”.
The passages quoted by Weber also include rather sober and factual sentences. The Greens and also the publisher, the Baerbocks book “Jetzt. How We Renew our Land, ”argue that reproducing well-known facts is unproblematic.
An unusual formulation from an article in “International Politics” can be found on page 16 of Baerbock’s book. The Green leader writes there: “Anyone who only thinks from the present remains in the short-term and loses strategic depth.” Researcher Florence Gaub, who deals with security issues, writes in her article: “Who is constantly in crisis thinks, remains in the short-term and loses strategic depth. “
Weber reassured in his email: “In the Baerbock case, I am checking out of self-interest and without a payment order. I also don’t have a client with whom it would have been agreed to say exactly this: namely, that there would be no order. I hereby take an oath to do so. ”At the same time, he rejected allegations by the Greens, who had spoken of malicious acts or character assassination the day before.
