by time news

Chennai, Annamalai Padayatra, the grand public march under the name of ‘En Man, En People’, continues to gain momentum in Tamil Nadu. As the campaign progresses, the BJP State President Annamalai addressed reporters in Pudukottai, shedding light on his political aspirations and party’s alliances.

Amidst widespread speculations, Annamalai clarified that he has no intentions of contesting in next year’s Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized that his decision to join the BJP was driven by a desire for regime change in Tamil Nadu, and he will dedicate himself to achieving election victories as a party volunteer. “I don’t want to go to Delhi,” he affirmed, expressing his commitment to keeping his politics rooted in Tamil Nadu’s soil.

Annamalai further highlighted the BJP’s alliance with the AIADMK party and assured that their partnership extends to O. Panneerselvam (OPS) and other members. Dispelling any doubts or misconceptions, he emphasized their support for OPS, who has held significant responsibilities, including the position of Chief Minister. Stressing on the importance of justice, Annamalai emphasized that anyone involved in the Kodanad murder and robbery cases should be duly punished.

During the recent leg of his ‘En Man En Makkal’ walk near a temple on Karaikudi Sekalai Road, Annamalai had a notable encounter with a Muslim youth. The young man presented him with a copy of the Quran, which Annamalai graciously accepted and held up to his eyes, a gesture symbolizing respect and unity.

As the Annamalai Padayatra continues to garner attention across Tamil Nadu, Annamalai’s statements have shed light on his vision for the state and his party’s alliances. With the 2024 Assembly elections on the horizon, political dynamics are rapidly evolving, and all eyes remain fixed on the unfolding developments.
