by time news

New York:

President Putin announced in the St. George’s Hall of the Kremlin in Moscow that four territories captured in the seven-month-long war with Ukraine have been annexed by Russia.

Donetsk, Lugansk, Sprezia and Kherson regions in Ukraine are reported to have been annexed. It is noteworthy that Russia had previously held referendums in these areas.

In this case, the Secretary General of the United Nations strongly condemned the plan to connect the regions of Ukraine with Russia.

In this regard, the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has stated that Russia’s actions will affect peace in the region of Ukraine. At this critical moment, I must underline my duty as Secretary-General to uphold the Charter of the United Nations. The Charter of the United Nations is clear. He said that the annexation of a nation’s territory by the threat or use of force by another nation is a violation of the UN Charter and principles of international law.
