Tragically, her personal joy was shattered by a series of devastating losses.In January 1998, her daughter, ann Lise-Lotte, died in a car accident in New York at the age of 30.Just a year later, her husband succumbed to cancer, leaving Lyngstad to navigate two profound griefs in quick succession. Despite these heartbreaks, Lyngstad demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience.
In 2007, she found companionship with British nobleman Sir Henry Smith. The couple currently resides between Sweden and Switzerland, splitting their time between Zermatt and Genolier on Lake Geneva.
