Burkina: Annihilation of about sixty terrorists from Niger
Ouagadougou, June 24, 2023(AIB)-The Burkinabe Combatant Forces have neutralized many terrorists across the country in recent hours, including around 60 from Niger, the AIB learned on Saturday from security sources.
The Burkinabè intelligence services got wind of the massive arrival of terrorists from Niger.
Thus yesterday, they were able to detect a group of about sixty assailants in an abandoned farming hamlet in the Eastern region.
The air vectors carried out conclusive strikes on the enemies, allowing their annihilation.
On the same day, a Rapid Intervention Battalion carried out an offensive of several hours against a terrorist base in the area of Comin Yanga in the Center-East region.
The bravery and determination of the boys made it possible to inflict heavy losses on the terrorists after violent combat.
In Boussou in the North region, the Combatant Forces neutralized several terrorists during a response. Weapons were recovered during the fighting.
According to AIB informants, operations are continuing nationwide to restore peace.
