Only last year, former erotic actress Annina Semmelhaack was elected to the Elmshorn city council for the FDP, and now she is giving up her political office. In addition to her seat in the city council, the 45-year-old also sat on the district council for the FDP and worked on the committee for equal opportunities and social affairs. She says her reason is that she wants to move back to her hometown of Bremerhaven. “We are saying goodbye to a committed and valued colleague, a promising local politician,” said FDP parliamentary group leader Pascal Mangels in an interview with the newspaper.
Semmelhaack, who appeared in various reality TV formats after her time as an erotic actress, joined the FDP in 2021. At the end of 2022, it was announced that Semmelhaack and FDP Bundestag member Hagen Reinhold were a couple. She had met him during an internship in his office. This was followed by a public war of roses with Reinhold’s ex-wife and mother of his three children, Karoline Preisler.
Semmelhaack, who completed an apprenticeship as a real estate agent after graduating from high school, would like to work in this field again after retiring from politics.
