It was only recently that it was revealed that Ubisoft was looking to retire and stop supporting various older games, meaning players would lose access to various multiplayer features and even some DLC. However, it looks like some parts of the Ubisoft family aren’t going to accept this decision, preferring to keep supporting certain games.

For now, this is in the form of Anno 2070, as Ubisoft Mainz has issued a statement that it will dedicate some resources to ensure the game upgrades and can continue to offer online features. “After an initial investigation, we’ve decided to dedicate some development resources to working on upgrading Anno 2070’s aging online services infrastructure to the new system so that these features can continue to be available beyond the aforementioned dates. As for when these upgrades will take effect, Ubisoft Mainz simply said that more information will be shared “in the coming weeks and months.”
