Chennai: Kia India Press Release: At the 16th edition of the Auto Expo, Kia India launched EV9, an electric SUV, and KA4, a luxury SUV with an innovative design.

It has also announced an investment of Rs 2,000 crore in India for research and development, manufacturing and infrastructure related to electric vehicles. It also announced to enter the Purpose-Built Vehicles (PBV) segment to cater to the demand.

Dae-Jin Park, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, said, “With the EV9, we have started our electrification journey in India. And with the KA4 we are introducing a safe vehicle with a large capacity. And we have once again successfully recognized the unmet need of the Indian market with purpose-built vehicles.”

The electric concept EV9, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo, will be launched in international markets in the first quarter of this year. 4,930 mm. Length, 2,055 mm Width, 1,790 mm height and 3,100 mm. The EV9 has a wheelbase.
