A night curfew has been imposed in Tamil Nadu from Thursday to control the spread of corona. Also a full curfew will be enforced tomorrow Sunday. It has been announced that Chennai suburban trains will run on the day of the curfew.
Southern Railway has announced that only those who have been vaccinated with 2 doses of corona will be allowed to travel on Chennai suburban trains. Booking through the UTS processor will be suspended from the next day and passengers will only be issued a ticket if they show a corona vaccine certificate and ID card.
Southern Railway has announced that a fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on train passengers who do not wear helmets. These new restrictions will take effect tomorrow.
