The anti-discrimination student movement has announced a continuous ‘total non-cooperation’ movement from next Sunday (August 4). Before this, they will hold a protest march across the country on Saturday (August 3).

The anti-discrimination student movement announced these programs in a statement sent to the media on Friday (August 2).

The statement said, “In protest of the attacks and killings of students-citizens in a peaceful movement across the country and 9 demands, a protest march across the country tomorrow Saturday and a ‘total non-cooperation’ movement has been called for an indefinite period from Sunday.”

In the statement, huge masses of people across the country were called upon to organize in alleys, streets and neighborhoods to make the program a success.

Earlier, Abdul Hannan Masood, one of the coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, announced the program on Facebook Live shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday. He complained, “Peaceful movements were attacked across the country on Friday.”

Abdul Hannan Masoud said, in protest of the killing of students and citizens in a peaceful movement across the country and 9 demands, a protest march across the country tomorrow Saturday and a ‘total non-cooperation’ movement has been called for an indefinite period from Sunday.

He complained that Chhatra League-Youth League are taking to the streets with bullets. They are also killing children.

Masoud said, ‘No one can stay in power by killing citizens repeatedly. This cannot be allowed to continue. Every man should come down the street. Every political party should be united and informed that this torture can no longer continue.’

Urging the members of law and order forces not to fire, he said, ‘We are your brothers and children. Your children are protesting, don’t beat them. From tomorrow the people of this country will prove their united strength and fight in the streets.’
