The government investigation committee into the incident of the escape of security prisoners from Gilboa Prison has completed the first stage of hearing the evidence. Following this and in light of the testimonies heard before it and the evidence gathered, the committee decided to warn four IPS officers: Rabbi Gondar Kati Perry, Commissioner of Prisons; Gondar Moni Bitan, Deputy Commissioner and Commander of the Defense and Operations Division; Sheetrit, commander of the Gilboa prison.
The committee has so far been exposed to many positive aspects of the work of the IPS and its servants. Their work is important and difficult, and they deserve great appreciation. The alleged shortcomings underlying the warning to the incumbents are in the areas of intelligence; Security and operations; The passage of security prisoners between cells and wings; And various aspects of command.

The committee decided to send warnings to those IPS commanders who have overall responsibility for some areas in which there were alleged deficiencies. For those who have not been warned, their action will be allowed to be examined by the competent bodies.
The warned are given a right of argument before the committee themselves or by a lawyer. They may review relevant materials submitted to the committee for review, and request to summon witnesses and submit additional evidence. A separate decision will be made on the continuation of the committee’s work.
The committee decided not to publish an interim report now. Its final report will deal with all the shortcomings and strengths that will be found.
