jpnn.comJAKARTA – PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) said that farmers can redeem subsidized fertilizer at official complete fertilizer kiosks (KPL) in their respective regions.
According to regulations, subsidized fertilizer cannot be redeemed by farmers who are not registered in the Definitive Group Needs Plan (RDKK).
GM Region 2 Pupuk Indonesia, Roh Eddy Andri Wismono, said that farmers who receive fertilizer subsidy allocations are regulated by Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) Number 10 of 2022 concerning Procedures for Determining the Allocation and Highest Retail Price of Subsidized Fertilizer in the Agricultural Sector.
“Subsidized fertilizer can only be redeemed at official kiosks designated to serve local farmer groups and farmers who redeem it comply with the criteria regulated by Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 10 of 2022,” said Roh Eddy.
In Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number 10 of 2022, it is stated that farmers who are entitled to a fertilizer subsidy allocation are farmers who are members of farmer groups, registered in SIMLUHTAN (Agricultural Extension Management Information System), working on a maximum of two hectares of land, and using a Farmer’s Card (for certain areas).
Apart from that, registered farmers are guaranteed to work on the nine commodities specified in the regulations, namely rice, corn, soybeans, shallots, garlic, chilies, coffee, sugar cane and cocoa.
In other words, farmers who work outside of these commodities are no longer entitled to subsidized fertilizer allocations.
Roh Eddy said the government had set a fertilizer subsidy allocation of 417,637 tons in 2024.
The subsidized fertilizer stock is allocated to 24 districts/cities.
In order to maintain the availability of subsidized fertilizer, Pupuk Indonesia provides subsidized fertilizer stocks of 136,282 tons as of April 19 2024 for the South Sulawesi region.
The stock consists of 84,142 tons of urea and 52,140 tons of NPK.
Meanwhile, in terms of realization, Pupuk Indonesia has succeeded in distributing 133,738 tons of subsidized fertilizer in South Sulawesi.
This figure is equivalent to 32 percent of the total allocation for 2024. The details are 80,653 tons of urea and 53,085 tons of NPK.
For registered farmers who want to redeem subsidized fertilizer, the process is now getting easier.
This is because Pupuk Indonesia collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) to innovate by implementing the i-Pubers application (subsidized fertilizer integration) at every official kiosk.
With this digitalization system, registered farmers only need to bring their Identity Card (KTP) to redeem subsidized fertilizer.
