Annual examinations started in madrassas

The annual examinations of Sunni madrassas in Muscat, Gulf began yesterday. As many as 11,240 students across the country are appearing for the exam, which will be held online and offline in various stages till March 26. The Qur’an Hifl and Recitation exams, which are part of the public exams for Classes 5, 7 and 10, were successfully conducted online on Saturday.

The madrassas of the Sunni Board of Education are the largest student body in the field of Islamic knowledge. In the Diaspora, this systematic system is led by the Education Committee under the ICF Gulf Council. Abdul Aziz Saqafi, secretary of the ICF Gulf Council, said the syllabus would focus on children’s personality development, life skills and social engineering in addition to religious studies.

The role played by madrassa systems in shaping the culture of the next generation is unique. Therefore, he requested those who have not yet used the madrassa system to contact the ICF activists in the area and intervene in the matter of religious education of the children.
