Tata Motors, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturing companies, has announced that it is going to invest Rs. 2,000 crore annually in the commercial vehicle segment.
Krish Wak, executive director of the company said:
The company is investing an additional Rs.2,000 crore every year in the commercial vehicle segment. This trend will continue. These investments will be used to develop new electric vehicles that run on different types of propulsion.
We are increasing the number of alternative fuel vehicles in our product portfolio. He said that we are preparing ourselves for the electrification of the transport sector.
