The brutal beating of a 16-year-old boy by a group of 10 people in Anogeia, Crete, is a cause for concern because… he was wearing earrings and Bermuda shorts.
The incident happened early Sunday in the Kavalaria area, as reported by the child’s mother, who is originally from Anogeia and is in the village with her son for the summer holidays.
His relatives took the minor boy to Anogeia Health Center and then to Venizelio Heraklion Hospital where the incident was recorded.
Two youths who were in front of the incident tried to protect the 16-year-old but failed because the group of 10 bullies also targeted them.

The 16-year-old’s mother reported the incident in a letter to anogi.gr, in which she states, among other things:
