According to the National Migration Service, administrative expulsions have increased this year, although judicial expulsions have decreased.

A total of 619 foreigners have been expelled from the country by air so far in 2024of which the last 42 left this Friday bound for four countries from Latin America.

This was confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior, which specified that of that total, 26 correspond to judicial expulsions, while the other 16 are administrative..

In the first case, the 26 people were sentenced in Chile with sentences of less than 5 years and one day and will serve the remainder of their sentences in their countries.

In the case of the other 16 people, they were expelled from the country for commit serious immigration violationsas determined by the National Migration Service (Sermig).

According to the information provided by the authorities, those expelled were transferred to Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia and Dominican Republic.
