Microsoft’s online services were hit by another outage just days after the global meltdown that affected much of the world, reports The Independent.

The company said it was investigating reports of user problems accessing its services, with some reporting they were unable to access email and other features.

An alert on the tech giant’s service status website said it was looking into a “network infrastructure” issue affecting access to Microsoft services.

The incident comes less than two weeks after the global meltdown, which affected various sectors such as transport and health services. It was caused by a faulty software update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, bTV reports.

On its website, Microsoft announced:

“We are investigating reports of issues related to Microsoft services worldwide. Customers may experience delays when connecting to Azure services. We have multiple engineering teams committed to diagnosing and resolving the issue. More details will be provided as soon as possible.”

Azure is a Microsoft cloud service for developing, running applications and storing data on servers in distributed data centers.
