Eight children from the temporarily occupied parts of the Kherson region have returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine, reported the head of the Kherson local military administration Oleksandr Prokudin, quoted by Ukrinform, BTA informed.
“The return of eight more children from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region is ensured,” wrote Prokudin in the Telegram social application.
Five girls and three boys between the ages of six and seventeen have returned, he said. The children are safe, reunited with their parents, receiving medical and psychological help.
Prokudin thanked the volunteer organization “Save Ukraine” for the work done to save young Ukrainians.
He noted that since the beginning of the year, a total of 162 children from the Kherson region have already been returned to the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported that last week seven more children were returned from the temporarily occupied areas of the territory under the control of Ukraine, and this week it was two children – three and five years old.
