An Iveco truck driven by a Polish carrier was on its way from Germany to Mongolia in transit through Belarus. According to the documents, the truck was carrying laboratory equipment, including a solution for electroporation. But during the customs inspection, the Brest customs officers revealed that 70 bottles of the Hyclone trademark with a volume of 100 ml actually exceeded the declared amount. The cost of illegally transported cargo was about 35 thousand rubles, and the amount of customs payments could be underestimated by more than 7 thousand rubles.
Brest customs started an administrative process in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus (non-declaration). The sanction of this article provides for the imposition of a fine of up to 30% of the value of the subject of an administrative offense.
