“Another nail in the coffin of Rabin’s legacy”: this is how Aviv Gefen answered the British newspaper that attacked him

by time news

Aviv Gefen answers to the British newspaper. After giving an emotional monologue at Beit El in which he apologized to the audience for his past statements, the Guardian refers to Aviv Gefen. The article about him states that he “sparked controversy when he apologized for his views in the past during a concert in a passionate nationalist settlement in the occupied West Bank.”

Geffen’s answer

It is also written that a vine used to be the symbol of peace, its transition reflects the Israeli approach to the right and that it is “another nail in the coffin of Rabin’s legacy”. In a tweet on Twitter, Geffen wrote to the Guardian: “I stayed on the left, but a person who does not know how to make peace within his people, will not know how to make peace with his neighbors.”

As I recall, Geffen said in a concert at Bethel that “we were separated for all kinds of reasons, I wanted to please my audience and I spoke out of ignorance. I want to ask you for forgiveness out of love and unity. Many friends helped me on this journey.”

He added: “To be here today in Beit El is something that I would not have dreamed of a few years ago. I am so happy that I am here with you today with love and respect, and therefore I demand, like myself, only unity and not to Shisui. We are true brothers and our love has no geographical love but love in the heart. Thank you Thank you for being invited here. I love you.”
