There is no peace for the pediatricians of Valtiberina, one might say. The three professionals with permanent assignments have remained effective for less than a year: Dr. Fabiola Neri will leave Valtiberina at the end of this week to move to Arezzo, as announced by Dr. Giampiero Luatti, director of the district, who has already requested the indication of the shortage area for the assignment of the new assignment. This will however involve “non-immediate technical times”, while the search for a pediatrician for a temporary assignment “unfortunately did not have a positive outcome”. Starting from Monday 26 August – explained Dr. Luatti – the 980 patients of Dr. Neri will be distributed automatically with separate lists among the other two pediatricians in service in Valtiberina, Dr. Rosario Maggiore and Dr. Erica Nistri, who have made themselves available for the increase in the maximum amount. Specifically, Dr. Maggiore will take over all the patients from the peripheral municipalities and a part of those from Sansepolcro, increasing the hours of presence and activating the clinic also in the city of Biturgia, as well as in Anghiari and Pieve Santo Stefano. Dr. Nistri will instead take over the remaining patients from Sansepolcro. In the next few days, all families will receive a text message sent by the health company with the name of the pediatrician assigned by office and his cell phone, while the new hours and clinics of Dr. Maggiore will be communicated as soon as possible. “Other care modalities will also be sought that can alleviate possible inconveniences in compliance with national conventions”, explained Luatti, who also thanked Dr. Neri.
