Anatoly Chubais, a former Kremlin official who resigned in protest of the war in Ukraine, is in intensive care due to a rare disease related to the immune system.

The doctors believe that the 67-year-old Chubais probably suffers from Guian-Barre syndrome, a disease in which the immune system damages the nervous system. “He believes it’s a disease, the doctors think they found it in time.”

Although it appears to be a natural disease, a European intelligence agency is closely examining the case, but has not agreed to publish its results. Some of the media and opposition activists claim that it will be corrected and that he was poisoned.

“I don’t think it’s poisoning,” one of the sources told Reuters, “he’s still in intensive care. It’s a serious illness, the main problem is when patients stop breathing.”

In addition, it is not clear exactly where Chubais is hospitalized.
