New Delhi: Suspension of three more opposition MPs who protested in the Rajya Sabha. Aam Aadmi Party MP Sushil Kumar Gupta and others were suspended. With this, the number of MPs facing parliamentary action has increased to 27. Last day, 20 Rajya Sabha MPs and four Lok Sabha MPs were suspended.
Meanwhile, the suspended members of the Rajya Sabha staged a 50-hour round-the-clock satyagraha in front of the Gandhi statue in the Parliament premises. 19 suspended on Tuesday and Sanjay Singh (AAP) suspended on Wednesday participated in the relay satyagraha. V Shivdasan, AA Rahim (CPIM) and P Santhosh Kumar (CPI) were suspended.
Four members, including TN Prathapan and Ramya Haridas, who were suspended from the Lok Sabha, staged a dharna at the entrance of the House.
Opposition members protested against the mass suspension when the Rajya Sabha met.
