The 17th World Soft Tennis Championships being held in Anseong City is receiving a lot of attention as a unique venue where you can enjoy exciting matches and diverse local culture.
This competition is being held with the participation of 31 representative players from countries including Poland, Taiwan, and India. Starting on the 4th, a total of 7 events including men’s and women’s singles, individual doubles, mixed doubles, and men’s and women’s team events are being held, and a heated competition for the gold medal is underway.
As soft tennis is gaining popularity as a form of recreational sports and a mass sport for the general public, spectators are flocking to watch matches where world-famous players gather in one place and show off their outstanding skills.
In addition, this competition is more meaningful as various booths have been set up at the Anseong Soft Tennis Court where visitors can enjoy Anseong’s unique culture and art.
The city has set up a comprehensive information center, medical support center, and Anseong City culture and tourism promotion booth centered around the main stadium, and is receiving great responses from domestic visitors and foreign players by operating various experiences such as Korean food and traditional games, as well as selling agricultural and specialty products, as well as the Anseong Machum Organic Workshop, soft tennis experience classroom, and Beautiful Anseong photo exhibition.
In particular, the soft tennis experience classroom provides a unique experience that combines screens and soft tennis by installing banners with images of the opponent’s court on the booth walls, which plays a big role in increasing visitors’ understanding of soft tennis and stimulating their interest.
In addition, the separately prepared fringe stage will feature various cultural and artistic performances such as Baudeok Pungmul Band performances, K-pop dances, busking performances, and Taekwondo performances during the competition, providing another attraction.
