Mirinae Village in Yangseong-myeon, Anseong-si, which boasts cool and quiet nature, is expected to transform into a new village after being selected for the rural experience resort village consulting support project.
Anseong City Citizen Activity Integrated Support Team (Director Jeong Un-gil) Urban-Rural Exchange Support Center announced on the 29th that Mirinae Village was selected for the Gyeonggi Province Rural Experience and Resort Village Consulting Support Project.
The rural experience resort village consulting support project is a consulting project that can be operated sustainably, such as driving sales by individually consulting on the site of the experience village and suggesting improvement measures. It will consist of comprehensive diagnosis of the experience village and support for development of rural experience content, development of rural experience programs, and support for material costs.
An official from the Rural-Urban Exchange Support Center explained, “In the first round of the rural experience resort village consulting support project last June, Cheongryong Village in Seoun-myeon was selected, and in this second round of support, Mirinae Village was selected, making a total of two villages in Anseong the recipients of the feat.”
Mirinae Village started as a rural traditional theme village in 2003 and went through the Mirinae District Rural Comprehensive Development Project in 2013, and was expected to continue to develop the village. However, due to COVID-19, the village experienced difficulties as an experiential village, but with the efforts of Mirinae Village Chairman Won Jong-yeol and residents, the village is preparing for a new leap forward.
Anseong City Agricultural Policy Division Manager Lee San said, “We hope that this consulting support project will be a time of new growth for the somewhat stagnant rural experience resort villages, and that they will be transformed into villages that city dwellers want to visit, thereby meeting travel demand and revitalizing rural areas.”
Meanwhile, Mirinae Village, a representative rural experience resort village in Anseong, is planning to revitalize the village by utilizing Mirinae Holy Ground, pilgrimage route, Misan Reservoir, etc., and it is expected that with a project cost of 12 million won, it will be transformed into a rural experience resort village that satisfies residents and makes visitors happy.
