‘Ant in the fire’; Quantamania Review

by time news

Quantum Realm is a ‘hardcore’ event that we have seen and experienced through the Marvel movies. A magical universe between time and space. Through Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantummania, Marvel tells about what the Quantum Realm is and the master Kang who rules that magical world. The only disappointment is that the film, rich in eye-catching and stunning visual effects, fails to bring any innovation in terms of storytelling.

Ant-Man Quantamania marks the beginning of ‘Phase Five’ in the Marvel Multiverse saga. The main attraction of the film is the villainous character Kang the Conqueror. If Thanos was Thanos in Infinity Saga, Kang is the main villain in Multiverse Saga. But the fear that Thanos brings to the audience is not there when it comes to Kang. The main reason for that is the script of this movie.

Although the same character was previously referenced in the Loki series, Kang will be seen as a full-fledged villain in Ant-Man Quantumamania. In Loki we saw another variant of Kang. Through Kang, Marvel is trying to bring another powerful villain character in front of the audience. In this picture, you can see how that attempt fails. Hollywood star Jonathan Majors is coming to the screen as Kang.

The film is related to 2018’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. In the Wasp, we saw Janet rescued by Scott, Hope and Hank after being trapped in the Quantum Realm for thirty years. Quantamania tells the events that Janet had to face there during those thirty years. Scott, Hope, Hank and Cassie, Scott’s daughter, witness it directly.

Peter Reed, who directed the films Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, has directed the third part as well. Therefore, there was a lot of hope for the film. The cast failed to do justice to anything but the character of Kang. It seems that they are focusing more on the visual effects rather than the screenplay. It cannot be described other than as magnificent. They have designed the world and its creatures in such a perfect way that they have never seen before.

The biggest negative is that they were not able to create an emotional bond with the audience even at one point of the movie. Fight sequences similar to the climax of Infinity War and repetitive adventure scenes can get tiresome.

Valkasnam: Do not skip the two end credit scenes of the film. Especially the second post credit scene.
