Today, the state anti-corruption department is conducting a second search of the house and offices of P. Thangamani, a minister in the previous AIADMK regime in Tamil Nadu.

On the 15th of last week, the Anti-Corruption Department raided 69 places across the state, including his home and the home of his son, nephew and friends.
Since this morning, the Anti-Corruption Department has been conducting raids on a total of 10 places in Namakkal district, including the auditor of former minister Thangamani and friends’ houses.
According to this, the house of Mohan, the head of the egg company in Namakkal Periyapatti, the star apartment on Mohanur Road and the house of Senthilkumar, the auditor of former minister Thangamani in Pallipalayam, have been raided since early morning.
Apart from these, the Anti-Corruption Police are conducting raids at 10 places in Namakkal district, including the hostel run by building contractor BSK in Kollimalai, the house of Pothanur Shanmugam next to Paramathi Vellore, the house and office of Saranya Spinning Mill owner Ashok Kumar near Erumapatti.
More than 100 anti-corruption and anti-corruption officials are involved in the investigation.
Similarly, anti-corruption police are conducting raids at Senthilnathan Gopalakrishnan and Balasundaram residences in Tindal Sellammal apartment in Erode district in connection with Minister Thangamani.
Anti-corruption police are also raiding the house of Manikandan, the son of former AIADMK minister Thangamani’s close friend Kulantaivelu, who lives in the AVR Sri Gokul apartment in the Salem Thiruvananthapuram district.
Police said ₹ 2.16 crore in cash, 1.13 kg of gold and property documents were seized during a search of 69 places, including the former minister Thangamani’s house, on the 15th.
This is the second time that the anti-corruption probe into former minister Thangamani has drawn widespread attention in AIADMK circles.
